McCorkell takes British Senior Title for a Fifth Time

Sport Northern Ireland funded athlete Jenna McCorkell became the first female ice skater from Northern Ireland to win the British Senior Ladies Ice Skating Championship title for the fifth time in ice Sheffield this afternoon Saturday 12 January 2020.

Jenna was well clear of the field after a personal best score and performance in the sport performance in the short programme, however she extended her lead to an incredible 37 points in front of the rest of the filed in the free programme.

AKR Promotions, Jenna’s PR company, commented:

“Jenna put in two spell-binding performances to take her fifth British Senior crown … She has worked extremely hard this season and it has all paid off. We are delighted for Jenna who will now go forward to represent Great British at the up and coming European championships at the end of February. These are the highest scores any female British skater in a British Championships to date. Jenna has set a new standard!”
