The plan is to appoint 3 full-time coaches will provide active support to schools developing after school programmes through the Youth Sport programme and to clubs keen to develop programmes linked to these schools. This exciting new development will give real support in a range of sports to both schools and clubs thus enabling the seamless link between both as young people get the opportunity at the club to build on the excellent introduction to sport given to them at the school. It is likely that these posts will be advertised early in the new year and that work programmes can be drawn up to facilitate as many schools and clubs in the identified Council areas.
