Help Shape the future of Coaching in Ireland

The National Coaching and Training Centre (NCTC) in partnership with Sport NI and the Irish Sports Council (ISC) have commissioned Atlantic Sports Management and Training (ASMT) to facilitate the development of a Coaching Strategy for Ireland and a Strategic Plan for NCTC/Coaching Ireland.

 

A Strategic Advisory Committee was put in place in September 2007.  To date ASMT have held a number of consultation meetings with various stakeholders and are currently collating all feedback to develop draft proposals, a vision policy and governance recommendations.

As part of the consultation process ASMT is trying to get feedback from as many stakeholders as possible.  To achieve this an on line questionnaire for coaches and player/athletes has been developed – http://www.nctc.ul.ie/coaching_strategy.htm

A plenary conference to consult on the Strategy is scheduled to take place in the Carlton Dublin Airport Hotel from 10.00am to 5.00pm on Saturday 9 February 2020. 

 

In addition two consultations will take place in Belfast on 26 February 2020.
