New Child Protection Legislation

In February 2003 The Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults (PoC&VAO) Order entered legislation, with a section of the order coming into force in November 2004. The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety
how recently issued a first information note on the implication of the legislation.

The Volunteer Development Agency will host a number of half-day workshops to provide information on the legislation and its implications for the community and voluntary sector. The table below gives details of dates and venues. Please contact the number shown if you are interested in attending.

The Sports Council for Northern Ireland is delighted to confirm that through our ongoing partnership with the NSPCC-Child Protection In Sport Unit and The Volunteer Development Agency, Paul Stevenson will facilitate a sport-focused information session subject to demand.

To confirm your interest, please contact Paul Stephenson (Child Protection in Sport Unit) on 028 9035 1135 or by email on [email protected].
